I’m an EMDR Therapist, licensed in Germany as a Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie (HP Psych).
I work with people who are highly functional on the outside, but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or triggered on the inside.
I specialize in EMDR Therapy Online as well as in-person sessions in Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg).
While crisis might be hard to accept, it’s also an opportunity. Even if your pain or your trauma seems overwhelming it can lead to deeper understanding and growth.
“Never waste a good crisis.”
— Churchill
Therapy is not just about breaking down.
It’s also about noticing what still works.
The humor you didn’t lose.
The pride you forgot you had.
The part of you that can still feel music, connection, night air.
Some people come because everything hurts.
Others come because they’re functioning, but something feels off.
Both are welcome here.
Many problems aren’t caused by a lack of insight.
They persist because the nervous system is still reacting to past experiences as if they were happening now.
EMDR and hypnotherapy work directly with memory networks, emotional responses, and automatic patterns , the level where change actually happens.
That doesn’t mean we don’t talk.
It means we don’t stop there.
What this often leads to:
Fewer emotional reactions to the same triggers
A calmer baseline in the body
More choice, less automatic response
Relief that feels real, not forced
“I am still amazed that this stuff (EMDR) actually works.”
“Jan helped me tremendously. Calm, wise, and non-judgmental, he listened carefully to what I said and especially to what was in between the lines.”
“You helped me see through many situations and created a safe space online when I did not feel safe to be my authentic self.”
“I had a very positive experience working with Jan Voss. He is an excellent communicator and demonstrates empathy and compassion. Jan is very knowledgeable in the area of trauma and works well with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.”
Please feel free to also look at my Google reviews here and if you are a patient of mine, I would be happy if you leave me one as well.
I work with EMDR and advanced EMDR for CPTSD, Anxiety, fear or false beliefs as well as Hypnotherapy for the building of resources, habit control and reparenting.
It is never too late to have a good childhood.
As a director in advertising I have been leading big teams for over 15 years before becoming a therapist. Through working with this great, diverse crowd of people, coming from the entertainment and art industry, I got experienced in dealing with affairs, divorce, polyamory, LGBTQ topics, substance abuse, job loss and the battles of the ego.
